In ancient times, Panormos village had a fortified citadel or acropolis with an elaborate masonry still preserved today, on the hill Paleokastro. After visiting the fortress, you can follow a beautiful path to the Cave of Pan, the unique monument worshiping the ancient Greek god of the wild.
