On the enchanting island of Skopelos, visitors will have the opportunity to see a highly appraised exhibition. This exhibition is a true “boat museum” – the incredible skill of the creator will impress visitors.
The creator, Panagiotis Sofikitis, who is part of a family of a seamen, puts all his shibuilding experience and memories in these incredible creations. His creations are model ships, based on existing prototypes and following all rules of shipbuilding. All accessory parts of the ship are included (anchor, sails, mast etc), so that the final ship model is an exact replica of the original vessel.
The ship building process is costly and time-consuming, as it demands months of daily detailed work with patience and persistence. The visitor of the exhibition enters the enchanting world of ship building, which has been tightly knit for thousands of years with our country and history.
