The participation of the Municipality of Skopelos in the ITB 2026 international tourism exhibition, held from March 3–5 in Berlin, concluded with numerous scheduled meetings. With the assistance of experts, meetings took place at the Region of Thessaly’s stand within the Greek National Tourism Organization exhibition space, aiming to inform journalists, bloggers, tour operators, travel agencies, and institutional representatives about the destination’s multidimensional tourism product. The island’s natural beauty, stunning coastline, thematic tourism offerings, connection to Mamma Mia, culture, picturesque villages, monasteries, gastronomy, local products, and quality tourism services attracted strong interest from participants. The municipality was represented by Deputy Tourism Councilor Giorgos Papadavid and Municipal Councilor Ioanna Efstathiou, with the support of the municipality’s tourism consultancy company. Mr. Papadavid had the opportunity to present the destination during scheduled meetings with experienced bloggers, content creators, and travel editors collaborating with internationally renowned media such as Condé Nast Traveller, Mondberge Magazin, GsiNews, Die Presse, Berliner Zeitung, Falstaff, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, and Rhein-Neckar-Zeitung. Notably, meetings with the editorial team of the established travel publication Merian / Jahreszeiten Verlag, a journalist from Der Spiegel, and a representative of the popular German TV network RTL stood out.
