Gorgeous like…a movie star!!!
The trademark of the beach is its tall rock with the chapel of St. John the Baptist (Agios IoannisoProdromos) perched on its outcrop. On the 29th of August there is a spectacular celebration to commemorate the feast of Saint John. To visit the chapel, you will have to ascend some 106 steps.Nevertheless, the breathtaking view from above is worth it: tiny, secludedbeaches with crystal clear waters “nestled” in a vivid green setting and the captivating view of the Aegean Sea will remain forever etched in your memory.
It is no coincidence that the Mamma Mia!movie beautifully depicted the landscape, which won over the minds and hearts of anyone who ever dreamed of a fairytale wedding.
The beach is 30km from Skopelos Chora, via the Agios Reginos Road, and about 43min by car. If you opt for the Staphylos-Agnontas road, this will be a 47-minute drive and a total distance of 34.6km, while via the Glysteri – Karya Mount Delphi road, it will be a 40-minute drive and a total distance of 24.9km.
