Skopelos’ climate can be characterized as Mediterranean, with mild, wet winters, occasionally rainy springs, dry and sunny summers, and low-temperature falls. In general, the climate of the island can be described as mild. Most of the time, the summer is warm; however, the heat is tolerable due to the island’s woodland. In August, during the nighttime, the Etesian winds (“Meltemia”) cause a drop in temperature, rendering long-sleeved clothes a useful and sometimes necessary accessory!
